Moms and Back-to-School Busy-ness

Back-to-school for the kids usually means back to busy-ness for Moms!  Between making lunches, getting the kids to school on-time, helping with homework and extracurricular activities, schedules often leave Moms frazzled and stress.

Once the kids are dropped off at school, make some time for yourself and head to the gym. According to the Mayo Clinic, being active can boost your feel-good endorphins and distract you from your daily worries. Regular exercise and physical activity is one of the easiest ways to reduce your stress.  Just remember to pack your Harbinger Women’s Pro Gloves in your gym bag!

Don’t have time to get to the gym? No worries as there are plenty of other ways to stay active at home or on the go!  If you still have a young one at home, VegFamily recommends adding resistance training to your day, with your toddler as your partner. Make it a game and use your child to bench press, or have your child sit on your lower legs and do leg lifts. No young children at home? Use the Harbinger Resistance Cables for quick resistance training.

VegFamily also has recommendations for after school. This can be a great time to fit in your exercise with your kids. Take your children out to play after school and look for a community track or public school with a track enclosed by a fence.  Let your kids run with a ball or frisbee in the center of the track while you walk, jog or run.

According to The Lancet, a Taiwanese study found that getting as little as 15 minutes of exercise a day can extend your life expectancy by 3 years. So make fitness a priority in your back-to-school routine – we bet you’ll look better, feel better and have more energy for that busy back-to-school routine!
